Industry Specific Management System Standards refer to standards that are unique to one particular industry which general quality standards are not able to address. These standards cover the entire spectrum of the various development stages, from design, to development, to production, as well as installation and servicing whichever is applicable to the organisation. The objective of these is to align with existing industry-specific quality system requirements, globally.

They are globally recognised and represent effective sets of framework for quality standards in any organisation in their respective industries.
