Neville Clarke Kuching Successfully Conducted Training Seminar – “Effective Implementation of Document Control System” in Miri, Sarawak.

Neville Clarke successfully conducted “Effective Implementation of Document Control System” at Parkcity Everly Hotel Miri, Sarawak on 17th June 2014.  

A total of 9 participants, namely Sarawak Energy Berhad (representing Sarikei, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang) and Rahabco Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (Bintulu) participated in this training which was delivered by Mr. Andy Lau (Certified Trainer by (PSMB) Pusat Sumber Manusia Berhad), a full time consultant for Neville-Clarke (M) Sdn Bhd working in Kuching.

This 1 day training provided an introductory understanding of document and record control for all media and forms and practical methodologies for its implementation. Document control addresses the development, approval, distribution and disposition of the obsolete, whereas record control covers the identification, filing, maintenance, and disposition.

The approach(s) proposed are easy-to-implement and suitable for companies complying with management systems standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Safety & Health), FSSC ISO 22000 (Food Safety).

The participants commented that this course was easy to understand and very relevant to what they were doing in their job scope. They were able to benefit by improving the understanding of their existing document control system and practices. Some newly appointed document controller even commented that this training seminar helped to boost their confidence level in performing their job scope.
