Posted on 1 September 2014

August 8, 2014 marked another milestone in Neville-Clarke Philippines’ Inc (NCP). history as a leader in the field of training and consultancy. With the impending updates of the two of the most popular standards in the ISO family, NCP staged a transition forum at the EDSA Shangri – la Hotel that was attended by nearly 200 participants from a wide range of industries.

In keeping with its commitment as the “Preferred Business Partner for Global Success”, the forum’s objective was to give the participants the necessary details on how their respective organisations can transition from their existing management standards to the updated versions come 2015. Another important discussion during the event was on Annex SL, a high level structure from which all standards will conform to in their next revisions. Apart from this, Annex SL also serves to harmonise all management systems in order to promote consistency among the family of standards.

The discussion was mentored by Neville-Clarke’s luminaries in the field of training and consultancy headed by Neville Clarke International’s Group Managing Director Mr. Ee Yew Chuan who enlightened the participants on the importance of Annex SL. Emphasising on the significance of consistency, the discussion paved way to the subject matter of Engr. Alice Belen, Neville-Clarke Philippines Inc.’s Managing Consultant, on ISO 14001-Environmental Management System’s aim to standardise its framework using Annex SL. With numerous companies already implementing the ISO 14001 standard, the fruitful talk was well received by the attendees of the event.

Being the most popular of all the ISO standards, the afternoon session was indeed the most awaited discussion during the event. Sharing her expertise as one of Neville-Clarke Philippines Inc.’s most sought after Quality Consultant, Engr. Elizabeth Pulvinar provided a meaningful discussion on what will be the changes in the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 standard based on the Draft International Standard (DIS).
